What is your role at Decipher?

I joined Decipher in April 2018. My role as Product Manager involves setting out the feature priorities that feed into the development pipeline. This is known as the roadmap and building it requires having a clear understanding of where our users want to get to when they use Decipher. It also requires a degree of foresight around technological developments and the ability to communicate with farmers and agronomists and understand the practical issues they face, and how the Decipher platform can help them with their day-to-day operations.

I love working with the team here at Decipher. Everyone here is very talented, very friendly and extremely motivated. I also enjoy learning about new technology and helping farmers and agronomists deal with spatial variability.

What are most people surprised to learn about you?

That I was once in a choir!

What’s your favourite place in the world, and why?

The Cape Arid end of Yokinup Bay. It is an incredibly beautiful place where you can camp on pristine white sandy beaches in complete isolation and fish for greenlip abalone and sand whiting off the rocks. There you go, the secret’s out!
